The incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, March 16th, when, according to sources, the young man was standing at the entrance of a local establishment. There, the trauma team assessed his condition and decided against immediate surgical intervention for the gunshot wounds.

Four shooting incidents in one month in Marbella

This shooting is the second to rock Marbella in just the last week and the fourth in the past month. However, none of these incidents have resulted in fatalities.

On Monday, March 11th, two individuals on a motorcycle fired multiple shots in the middle of the street in Nueva Andalucía. Five bullets hit the window of La Sala restaurant, fortunately without injuring anyone.

A month ago, another young man was injured after being shot twice on a street in Marbella. The incident occurred shortly after 11.00 pm on Saturday, February 10th, again in Nueva Andalucía. The victim, of Nordic origin, suffered gunshot wounds to an arm and a leg. Emergency services stabilised him and transported him to the Costa del Sol Hospital. Witnesses told officers that two men exited a car, one of whom shot the victim before both fled in the same vehicle.

Only two days later, another incident was reported on the same street. Neighbours alerted Emergency Services and the Policia Nacional after allegedly hearing gunshots. However, no shell casings were found at the scene, leaving the report of a shooting unconfirmed.

The series of shootings has raised concerns about safety in Marbella, a city known for its luxury tourism and vibrant nightlife. Authorities are investigating the incidents, seeking to restore peace and security to the community.
