Previous shootings in Marbella

On March 16th, another man in his twenties was also hit by bullets, near an establishment on Avenida José Banús. Citizens captured the skirmishes around the incident with mobile phones. However, when officers arrived at the scene, they found no one. Later it was revealed that a boy with gunshot wounds had been admitted to the hospital.

Multiple people arrested

A few days earlier, two individuals opened fire on a popular restaurant in Nueva Andalucía. They arrived at the establishment, located on Calle Juan Belmonte, on a motorcycle. The passenger then got off and opened fire. Both motorcyclists wore helmets and dark clothing. Police recently reported that two individuals have been arrested in connection with this shooting incident. At least 15 shots were fired at the windows of the restaurant during the incident.

Shootings likely the work of criminal gangs

In the same area, on February 10th, a person was hit by bullets. Three people were arrested for these crimes. The motive for the latest shooting is not yet known. Police suspect that the shootings are the work of criminal gangs involved in drug smuggling.
