Benalmadena is paradise

If there is one country that is unique when it comes to retirement, it is Spain. There’s nothing like taking the time to enjoy its beaches, coastline, and unique landscapes. That’s why more and more foreigners are calling Spain the paradise that every retiree dreams of.

And that doesn’t go unnoticed in the United States. The specialist magazine International Living has prepared a list of the most ideal places in Spain to live after retirement and has picked out five unbeatable options. And the winner is Benalmádena in the Malaga province.

The magazine has chosen Spain as the ideal country to live in after retirement. Our country fascinates Americans, not only because of its beauty and climate, but also because of its tranquil lifestyle. And because of the extraordinary sense of security it conveys, something so lacking in some parts of the United States. About Benalmádena, the best place in Spain for retirees, they highlight that it is one of the tourist centres of the western Costa del Sol.

It is wonderful to enjoy the good weather, the sun and the sea in the area of Benalmádena-Costa. It is known for its luxury hotels, golf courses, award-winning marina, and finally, the casino.

Benalmádena also has other unique places such as the butterfly park or the Selwo Marina, where you can see dolphin shows. The spectacular cable car and other attractions also make the place special.

Other great places in Spain to live after retirement

The specialist magazine International Living mentions more places besides Benalmádena to live after retirement. One of them is Mijas, at the foot of the mountain range of the same name and where the impressive tourist complex La Cala stands out. It is also a golfer’s paradise. Also on the list is Almuñécar, also in Andalucia, where you’ll find both beach and mountains. And finally, there are two more excellent options. First of all, Sitges, on the Costa Brava, which encompasses the natural landscapes of the Garraf coast. And next to it Miraflores de la Sierra, a municipality in the Madrid region.
