MALAGA – A British man is on trial after he broke into a house in the centre of Malaga at night without permission to take a shower.

The Public Prosecution Service initially demands a prison sentence of one year and requests compensation of €500 for immaterial damage to the owner of the house.

It was October 2021 when a British citizen was walking quietly down a street in the centre of Málaga. He wasn’t feeling well. Suddenly he saw that he could enter the portal of a building and did not hesitate for a moment. Once inside, he noticed that the door of a house was ajar and he decided to go inside.

Once inside, he searched several closets for clothes to freshen up and made his way to the bathroom to take a shower. When the owner of the property returned after leaving her house for a while, she was surprised to discover the presence of a stranger in her house without her permission. She did not hesitate and immediately called the police to report the break-in.

Now, almost two years later, the man was in court on Monday and Tuesday. He is charged with burglary because he allegedly broke into a woman’s home without permission and took a shower there.

The Public Prosecution Service is initially demanding a one-year prison sentence, according to Europa Press. And, in addition, compensation of €500 for the moral damage to the owner of the house. It promises to be an unusual process.
