In addition, three people were injured. The incident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday on the road connecting Seville with Cádiz. According to initial reports, the accident occurred when a truck ignored a traffic control by the Guardia Civil and crashed into the checkpoint. In addition to emergency medical services, a judicial commission and investigation personnel from the Guardia Civil also arrived on the scene to investigate the cause of the accident.

An unfortunate event

Investigators are currently assuming an unfortunate event and are ruling out a terrorist attack or involvement in drug trafficking. The main theory is that the truck driver may have fallen asleep, preventing him from reacting in time.

The truck, loaded with vegetables destined for Madrid, was pulled over by the Guardia Civil for a routine check. During a maneuver to move to the side of the road, the truck hit the first three Guardia Civil cars.
