Policía Nacional arrested an individual in Valencia last Tuesday for their alleged involvement in the glorification of terrorism. The suspect is accused of using various digital platforms to disseminate multimedia content praising and justifying DAESH’s terrorist activities. These materials were subsequently shared with a large audience.
The investigation began in 2024 when authorities identified an individual deeply influenced by jihadist ideology. The suspect regularly made explicit references to acts of martyrdom and violent jihad, alongside the dissemination of official terrorist propaganda.
The operation was conducted jointly by the Comisaría General de Información and the Brigada Provincial de Información de Valencia, under the direction of Juzgado Central de Instrucción Número Uno and the Audiencia Nacional Prosecutor’s Office.
Evidence and legal proceedings
During the investigation, police confirmed that the suspect exhibited a violent and confrontational personality and had amassed a significant collection of DAESH propaganda materials.
On Tuesday morning, agents arrested the terrorism suspect in Valencia. Then, on Wednesday, they were brought before the Juzgado Central de Instrucción Número Uno, which ordered their immediate imprisonment.
