TORREVIEJA – The National Police has arrested Finland’s most wanted fugitive criminal in Torrevieja on the basis of a European arrest warrant. The man has been wanted for fraud since 2018.

He may face up to seven years in prison. Finland had issued a European arrest warrant because there were suspicions that the fugitive may have settled in the province of Alicante. Consequently, that order was then made known to the Organised Crime Unit of the Provincial Police Commission of Alicante.

After starting the investigation into the whereabouts of the wanted person, the investigators learned that he was in the city of Torrevieja. A police operation was mounted which resulted in his arrest.
