A new co-working initiative is offering women in business on the Costa del Sol the space, support, and structure to grow. Costa Women, the leading network for international women in Spain, is launching Co-Working Wednesdays. This is a focused and collaborative series of weekly sessions at the stylish PLAY Restaurant in Mijas Costa.
From 3 July, and every Wednesday throughout the month, women entrepreneurs, freelancers, and professionals are invited to come together between 10.00 am and 2.00 pm to work on their business goals, network with others, and create content — including video and branded photography — in a vibrant, purpose-built setting.
Whether you’re developing a new service, fine-tuning a strategy, or simply seeking a productive environment alongside other business-minded women, these sessions are designed to offer real value — with time, tools, and like-minded company.
Why co-working is on the rise
The rise of co-working has transformed how and where people do business. Once seen as a niche option for tech start-ups, co-working spaces are now a go-to choice for freelancers, remote workers and entrepreneurs — especially women looking for flexibility without sacrificing focus.
In Spain, and particularly along the Costa del Sol, the demand for professional yet sociable work environments has grown steadily. Co-working offers an office structure, the energy of a creative hub, and the freedom to work on your own terms. Moreover, this combination continues to attract women balancing business, family, and lifestyle goals.
A professional space with a community ethos
Organised in partnership with Mijas Town Hall, the initiative builds on Costa Women’s long-standing commitment to empowering women through connection and collaboration.
Now entering its 14th year, Costa Women has become a trusted community for internationally minded women living in Spain. Its events, workshops, and resources support both new arrivals and long-term residents in building sustainable businesses — and meaningful networks.
Co-Working Wednesdays reflect that mission. With a format that blends productivity and flexibility, the sessions are open to all women in business seeking fresh energy, focus, and the opportunity to share ideas in good company.

Shaping success through shared space
For many women running businesses on the Costa del Sol, working alone can be both limiting and isolating. These co-working sessions offer more than a desk and Wi-Fi — they create an environment where ideas flow, collaboration happens naturally, and progress feels possible.
As Costa Women founder and CEO Ali Meehan explains:
I believe that every woman entrepreneur deserves a space to grow — not just her business, but her confidence.”
This new series embodies that philosophy. By carving out a regular space for women to focus, connect, and reflect, Co-Working Wednesdays offer not only practical value but a powerful sense of belonging.
