The Travellers’ Choice Awards, organised by Tripadvisor, annually rank the ten best-reviewed locations by travellers. In the category of Theme Parks and Water Parks, the same Spanish water park has topped the list for the tenth consecutive year.
This prestigious recognition is awarded to only 1% of the best profiles on the platform, selected from eight million business profiles. The selection criteria are stringent, including the absence of safety incidents, excellent customer service, and transparency in reviews.
A decade of excellence
Standing alongside Disneyland Paris (the best theme park) at the top, the best water park in the world this year is Siam Park, located in the tourist resort of Adeje on the Canary Island of Tenerife. Siam Park is praised for its quality, maintenance, spectacular attractions, and lush vegetation. The average rating of five stars underscores visitors’ satisfaction.
Since opening in 2008, the park has welcomed nearly 14 million visitors. Thus making it a favourite destination for both tourists and locals, who enjoy a 50% discount.
New attractions
The ongoing success of Siam Park is partly due to its regular updates. Each season, the park introduces new attractions, utilising the latest innovations in entertainment technology. The newest addition, Saifa, has already been named the best new attraction by the Global Association for the Attractions Industry (IAAPA).
Popular attractions
Other popular attractions include the Tower of Power. This free-fall water slide takes visitors through a glass tube surrounded by an aquarium filled with sharks and rays. For a more relaxing experience, the May Thai River allows you to float on a tube while enjoying the surroundings. The Wave Palace offers the chance to swim and play in artificial waves. Meanwhile the Naga Racer mat slide lets you race with friends. Siam Beach, with its white sand, is perfect for relaxing and sunbathing.
Magical Siam Night
In addition to daily activities, Siam Park also offers Siam Night during the summer months. This unique evening experience under the stars takes place from Tuesday to Saturday, from 8.00 pm to midnight. Visitors can enjoy the attractions in a completely different atmosphere, enhanced by strategic lighting, a DJ, and spectacular light and laser shows.
Accessibility
To make the park easily accessible, Siam Park provides a bus service on Wednesdays and Saturdays from various locations on the island, both from the north and the south. Just like during the day, Siam Night offers a 50% discount for residents of the Canary Islands and is open to all ages.
