From 30 September 2024, airline Transavia will fly twice a week from Schiphol to this city in Andalucia. Tickets for the direct flights to Granada will be on sale from mid-April.

“Granada is a wonderful new destination that we are adding to our network. In doing so, we offer our customers even more choice for a good journey,” says CEO Marcel de Nooijer. He announced the start of direct flights to Granada on Thursday during the CAPA Airline Leader Summit.

The small airport is currently not served directly from Dutch airports. However, via Iberia you fly over Madrid, with Vueling you have a transfer in Barcelona.

Discover the city

Granada is the Andalucian city that seems to have it all. History, hospitality, culture and there is even a ski resort nearby. Granada is known for the beautiful palace complex Alhambra. From the Plaza San Nicolás you have a beautiful view of the Alhambra, especially at sunset. Stroll through the winding streets of the Albaicín neighbourhood, enjoy flamenco performances in the Sacromonte neighborhood. And of course there are plenty of bars and terraces to enjoy a drink and tapas. In the Capilla Real, near the cathedral, the Catholic kings, Fernando and Isabel, are buried. Last year, Granada was chosen as the most beautiful city in Spain.ç
