The European Regional Airlines Association (ERA) has named a Spanish airline European Airline of the Year. And there are several reasons for this, according to the European Regional Associocation (ERA).
He praised the support for the regional economies and the people within the region, her strong commitment to sustainability and technology and the establishment of the Aeronautical Training Centre. As a result, the ERA awarded the ‘Airline of the Year’ award to Binter Canarias.
Earlier, Binter Canarias was also awarded the Regional Connectivity Award for the launch of its new routes on the Canary Islands-Madrid route, during its General Assembly held in Seville on Thursday.
Eighth time
This is the eighth time that Binter Canarias has received the award. The ERA includes the 55 most important European regional airlines and 150 partners and affiliates, representing the entire spectrum of the aviation sector: airlines, airports, manufacturers and service providers.
The Regional Airline of the Year award was presented to Alfredo Morales, the vice president of Binter, while the ERA Regional Connectivity Award 2024 was received by David Manzanas, Managing Director of Binter.
35th anniversary
“Receiving the ERA’s highest accolade this year means a lot to Binter as we celebrate our 35th anniversary. And so this award means that we are doing well,” said Alfredo Morales.
David Manzanas, manager of Binter, also agreed that “this award means a lot to the airline. It’s a recognition of how hard we work every day to connect people and places. We are proud to be the airline that connects people and communities in the Canary Islands”.
