Nutella has launched a new edition of its breakfast spread featuring Spanish landscapes, with Portocolom in Mallorca representing the Balearic Islands. The campaign, titled “A Good Day Starts at Home,” aims to highlight the beauty of Spain’s natural environments through sunrise imagery on its labels.

This national campaign includes 17 locations, each representing an autonomous community. The coastal town of Portocolom, in the municipality of Felanitx, appears on the 750-gram Nutella jars as the Balearic Islands’ entry. The jars are now available across Spain.

Portocolom chosen for its tranquil seaside setting

According to Diario de Mallorca, Nutella selected Portocolom for its peaceful harbour views, colourful waterfront houses, and the town’s recognisable lighthouse. The company describes the landscape as a reminder to appreciate the natural surroundings and the calm that can be found close to home.

The image of Portocolom joins others in the series, such as the Maspalomas Dunes in the Canary Islands and Torcal de Antequera in Andalucia. The campaign encourages people to start their day by recognising the beauty of their environment—over breakfast.

Nutella’s continued celebration of Mallorca

This is not the first time Nutella has chosen Mallorca as a subject. In 2023, Port de Sóller featured prominently in a previous campaign. With Portocolom now highlighted in 2025, the Italian brand continues to draw inspiration from the island’s coastal towns.

Spanish landmarks featured across the country

In addition to Portocolom, other locations in the Nutella Sunrise Campaign series include:

  • Torcal de Antequera, Andalucia

  • Alquézar, Aragón

  • Playa de las Catedrales, Galicia

  • Park Güell, Catalonia

  • Retiro Park, Madrid

Each site represents a unique sunrise experience tied to regional identity.

Nutella: From Italian origins to global presence

Nutella is produced by Ferrero, the Italian confectionery group founded in 1946 in Alba, Italy. Today, Ferrero operates 37 factories and employs over 53,000 people worldwide. The company’s annual revenue surpasses €17 billion.

In a nod to fans of the chocolate-hazelnut spread, February 5 has been designated as World Nutella Day.
