Benidorm is set to welcome a new family-friendly attraction in April 2025. Magic Pirates Island, a themed resort developed by the Magic group, will open next to Terra Natura.
The company has announced plans to invest around €80 million in various projects, with this pirate-themed resort being a key part of their expansion.
Official presentation at Fitur Madrid
The Magic group officially unveiled details of the resort at Fitur in Madrid. The complex will include a four-star hotel designed to immerse guests in a pirate adventure. The presentation provided an early glimpse of the experiences and amenities visitors can expect.
Attractions and amenities
Magic Pirates Island will feature interactive experiences, including “thrilling battles aboard large galleons” and encounters with “amazing sea creatures.” Guests can explore a themed island with exotic influences from Asia and America while enjoying water-based attractions.
Admission to Terra Natura Zoo and Aqua Natura will be included for resort guests. The accommodation will feature themed cabins, relaxation areas, three large swimming pools, and themed dining options. Key attractions include Kraken’s Kid Port Pool, Battleship Lagoon, and Paradise Island Pool. The resort was developed in collaboration with Grupo Fuertes.
Additional Magic Group projects
Following the acquisition of Marina d’Or, now rebranded as Magic World Resort, the company is focusing on further developments. These include the renovation of the Hotel Balneario in Oropesa del Mar, which will reopen with a new look, and a Thalasso wellness concept named Pontiana, inspired by the Mediterranean Sea.
The group also announced the transformation of the former Hotel Fenicia into ‘Villa España Hotel,’ featuring the first suspended swimming pool in Benidorm. This development aims to blend luxury with Spanish cultural heritage.
Commitment to innovation and unique experiences
Javier García, Vice President of Magic Costa Blanca, emphasised the company’s focus on innovation: “These three projects cater to different audiences, from families at Magic Pirates Island to luxury and wellness at Pontiana, and the transformation of the former Fenicia to highlight Spanish heritage. Innovation drives us, and through these developments, we reaffirm our commitment to offering unique and memorable holiday experiences.”
Magic Group’s growing presence
Magic Group operates more than 20 establishments, offering nearly 4,500 rooms across six towns in Costa Blanca, Gandia, and Castellón. With these latest investments, the company continues to expand its portfolio, reinforcing its reputation for themed and experiential hospitality.
