In the year 2022, according to the Ministry of Finance and Public Functions, more than 9 million packs of 20 cigarettes were sold in Spain. Therefore, to try and lower the figures for sales and smokers, the Government is implementing more measures. This includes raising prices of tobacco products.
Furthermore, smoking is prohibited in certain public spaces. In addition, Social Security will also finance a drug to help people to give up smoking.
