ARRECIFE – The Guardia Civil arrested a 22-year-old man on July 19 on suspicion of stealing €2,800 in cash from at least seven rooms of a hotel on the Canary Island of Lanzarote.

The hotel is located in Costa Teguise, a tourist centre located on the east coast of the island. The suspect lived and worked there. According to reports from Cadena SER, the arrest was made after a hotel guest reported a break-in in his room because he was missing cash.
