As part of the award, Granada will host the World Happiness Festival from 14 to 16 March 2025. This event marks the ninth edition of the festival and coincides with the International Day of Happiness on 20 March, established by the United Nations in 2012 to emphasise the importance of happiness and well-being globally.

The World Happiness Festival in Granada will feature a diverse programme of activities designed to promote individual and collective well-being.
