MALAGA – It took a while but with the opening of a COVID-19 test centre at each of the Malaga, Sevilla and Madrid airports, you can take a PCR test and a rapid test (antigen) before departure.

As promised, Spain is opening a Covid-19 test centre at many of its airports. The result of the PCR test is promised within 12 hours. The quick test is available within 15 to 20 minutes. It is also possible to check whether you have antibodies in your blood with the Rapid Antibody test. The PCR test costs €58.68, a rapid test costs €24.45 and an antibody test costs €29.34.

Covid tests at Málaga Costa del Sol Airport are offered in the T2 Terminal. To enter the test centre, you must be able to show your booking at the test centre along with your boarding pass, ID and payment confirmation. You shuld take the test no more than 72 hours before your flight. You should not eat, drink, smoke, or brush your teeth one hour before taking the test.

Covid-requirements on destination

Check before you take your flight the Covid-requirements of your destination country. You must have proof of a negative COVID-19 test to travel to England from abroad. The Irish Government also requires all persons travelling to Ireland to provide a negative result of a PCR test taken within 72 hours prior to arrival in Ireland.
