FOOTBALL – With only 3 games remaining in La Liga 2022, the title has already been won. However, with 9 points still to be played for, there is still the chance of an upset in positions 3 and 4 on the table.
UEFA Champions League Group Stage
The top 4 teams of La Liga 2022, automatically qualify for the UEFA Champions League Group Stages.
Real Madrid are outright winners of the League this season, with their nearest rivals, Barcelona 11 points behind.
Barcelona have also qualified for the Group Stages, however, there are still 4 teams who will battle it out for the remaining 2 places. As things stand now, Sevilla is 3rd with 65 points, and Atletico Madrid is 4th place with 64 points.
However, Real Betis and Real Sociedad are in 5th and 6th places with 58 and 56 points respectively. Therefore, if either Sevilla or Atletico drop some points, things could change. Furthermore, Sevilla has drawn in the last 2 games.

Real Madrid v Atletico Madrid
Real Madrid had already won La Liga when they played away yesterday to Atletico. Although the game was won 1-0 by Atletico, they must continue to win the remaining 3 games to secure their top 4 position.
Real Betis v Barcelona
Real Betis have lost 2 and drawn 2 of their last 5 games. The most recent of which was their home game against Barcelona on Saturday. The match looked like it would finish with both teams taking a point. However, after 76 minutes of play, Ansu Fati scored for Barcelona. This was short-lived, as 3 minutes later, Marc Bartra equalised for Betis. Once again, a point each seemed to be on the cards. That was until 4 minutes into stoppage time, Jordi Alba won the game and claimed all 3 points for Barcelona.
Villarreal v Sevilla
Sevilla managed to hold onto a point during their away game yesterday. The first goal came for Villarreal with only 4 minutes remaining of normal time. Central midfielder, Giovani Lo Celso put the ball in the net. Ninety minutes came, and 7 more were added. However, 2 minutes before the end, a goal came from Jules Koundé making things all square. The final score was 1-1.
Levante v Real Sociedad
Despite equalising after 66 minutes with a goal from David Silva, Real Sociedad dropped all 3 points, when Levante scored a late winner. Following a flurry of yellow cards, Gonzalo Melero scored from a penalty at the 90-minute mark.

Real Betis are away tomorrow against 10th place Valencia in the 36th game of La Liga 2022. Also tomorrow, Barcelona plays at home against Celta Vigo who are in 11th place. On Wednesday, Mallorca travel to Sevilla, and Atletico Madrid makes the journey to Elche. On Thursday, both Real Madrid and Real Sociedad have home games against Levante and Cádiz respectively.
The final two La Liga 2022 games
If things have not already been decided in the top 4, these final games could produce some memorable performances.
Atletico Madrid and Sevilla go head-to-head on May 15. And a week later, on May 22, Atletico take on Real Sociedad. Also, on the last day of the season, league winners Real Madrid will host Real Betis.
5th and 6th positions
The club in 5th position will qualify for the UEFA Europa League Group Stage. For 6th place, the club will play in the Europa Conference League Qualifiers.
