Spain starts fourth dose of Covid vaccination on September 26

MADRID – Thursday, September 26 is the start date of the vaccination campaign for the second booster dose against Covid-19. The Ministry of Health announced this fourth dose today. 

This dose will be provided to the most vulnerable group of people. This includes people in nursing homes and people over 80 years of age. The ministry also announced that the first number of vaccines adapted to omicron will arrive in Spain this Friday. These will be distributed to all autonomous communities and cities from next week.

It concerns the first batch of 10 million vaccines announced last Monday by Health Minister Darias.

Finally, it has been established that the flu vaccination campaign will start this year on October 17, depending on the availability and epidemiological conditions of the different autonomous communities and cities.
