MIJAS – The Foreigners Residents Department and entrepreneurs from the Costa del Sol are organising an international networking event in Mijas, aimed at expanding professional networks for business growth. Scheduled for June 5th, the event will be held at the El Chaparral Golf Club.
This initiative, spearheaded by the Mijas Foreign Residents Department, is designed to bring together businesses from diverse backgrounds. This includes Danish, Dutch, British, German, Finnish, and Spanish companies, among others. Katja Thirion from the Foreigners Department of Mijas Town Hall, emphasised the event’s inclusivity. She stated, “any company can attend to introduce themselves and potentially find business partners.”
Participants
Among the notable participants is Bic Euronova, an organisation with over 30 years of experience in fostering innovation within companies. Sandra García, a representative from Bic Euronova, highlighted their role: “We have an incubator in a 4,000 square metre building at the Technology Park, where innovative startups and established companies with new strategic initiatives can receive our support to ensure their business plans and innovative projects succeed.”
Collaboration
The concept of creating synergies and collaborating in groups is central to these networking events, which are often seen as beneficial for all involved. Ali Meehan, founder of Costa Women stressed the event’s importance for local businesses: “This is a great opportunity for local businesses, not just women-led ones. We open the event to all businesses in the area so everyone can showcase their work to a larger community.”
