MÁLAGA – The capital of the Costa del Sol has had enough of scantily clad bachelor parties. Therefore, it is once again turning public space into a place of meeting, coexistence, and civic pride.

From Wednesday, it is forbidden to walk around naked or only in underwear in public in Málaga. Walking around with sexually suggestive attributes, for example referring to sexual organs, or dolls with a sexual character is now prohibited and you can receive a fine of up to €750 for this.

The municipality of Málaga has decided to change the city’s society regulation. This is because a huge increase in bachelor parties has been observed in recent years. People walk around naked or with little clothing on the street.

Preserving public space as a place of coexistence

The change was finally approved last September and with its publication in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Malaga (BOP), the administrative procedure was completed. The aim of these new regulations is to preserve public space as a place of meeting, coexistence and civic pride. And this does not include scantily clad bachelor parties, according to Málaga.

Possible fine

The competent authorities will initially inform those involved about the regulations, but if the inappropriate behaviour persists, they will file a complaint, possibly with a fine.
