BARCELONA – The Mossos (police force responsible for law enforcement in Catalonia) are investigating the murder of a three-year-old boy in a Barcelona hotel, allegedly at the hands of his father.
Furthermore, the father, who fled the Hotel Concordia on Avenida del Paral·lel, is being tracked by the Guàrdia Urbana.

As reported by the ‘Cadena Ser’, the events happened at some point before 10 pm last night (Tuesday). However, shortly before this time, the father had left the 7th-floor room to check there was no one in the corridor. After analysing video footage from the hotel, investigators confirmed the father escaped by jumping over the fence at the hotel pool area. He then ran in the direction of Montjuïc.
According to SER Catalunya, the boy arrived at the hotel with his father. The father and mother were separating. And the father allegedly sent her messages warning her that she would “regret it”.

Consequently, police were alerted to the incident by a112-emergency call according to Europa Press.
Medical Emergency System (SEM) sent four ambulances to the hotel. One of them paediatric. However, the health workers, found the child unconscious. His face was purple, and they were unable to revive him. The young boy was pronounced dead at the scene.
Mossos Agents of the Criminal Investigation Division of the Barcelona Metropolitan Police Region have taken charge of the investigation. The circumstances and details of the death will remain from public knowledge on the instruction of the court in Barcelona.
No one yet has been arrested.
