British Airways returns to London Stansted, unveiling 2 Spanish summer 2024 destinations

For travellers seeking premium airline options, British Airways is set to make a return to London Stansted for the upcoming summer season in 2024.

The airline is gearing up to offer weekend flights from London Stansted to Ibiza and two other fantastic destinations—Florence and Nice.

Weekend flights to Ibiza and San Sebastian

Starting from the 18th of May 2024, BA Cityflyer, a subsidiary of British Airways, will operate these routes on its Embraer 190 aircraft. This expansion adds a touch of luxury and convenience for those in the north-east London area. Furthermore, it provides new travel opportunities just in time for the summer.

BA Cityflyer, is renowned for its operations at London City Airport during the week, connecting travellers to nearly 30 short-haul destinations. However, now it is set to enhance its services by introducing these weekend flights from London Stansted. The newly unveiled routes will complement the existing weekday services from London City, and recently added weekend services from Edinburgh to San Sebastian, Spain, and Olbia, Sardinia.

For the first time since the global pandemic disrupted the travel industry, British Airways is once again set to offer scheduled flights from Stansted, further solidifying its position as the flag carrier. With this addition, Stansted will join Heathrow, Gatwick, and London City as the fourth London airport served by the esteemed British Airways.

The flights will feature two distinct cabins catering to different traveller preferences: Club Europe (business class) and Euro Traveller (economy). Customers opting for Club Europe will enjoy a full meal service with drinks from the bar, priority boarding, and an additional baggage allowance, ensuring a premium travel experience.

Flights are priced attractively, starting at £41 each way to Florence, £36 each way to Ibiza, and £43 each way to Nice. Bookings are already live, thus allowing travellers to plan their summer getaways well in advance.
