The Andalucia region remains an ever-popular holiday destination. Post-pandemic challenges have been overcome and the region reached record tourist numbers with 33 million visitors in 2023.

That is why the region’s airports are ready to expand their destinations this year with new direct flights from various airports.

Daily flight to New York from Málaga

Málaga Airport is going big with the introduction of a daily flight to New York, operated by United Airlines, during the summer of 2024. This transatlantic connection offers Costa del Sol travellers the chance to explore the Big Apple without any stops.

In addition to this connection, Málaga will also offer new routes to French cities such as Nantes and Nice, as well as to Athens, thanks to the British low-cost airline easyJet.

Seville will be connected to Italy and Stockholm

Seville-San Pablo Airport will add three new direct connections to Italy in April. Ryanair will offer flights to the cities of Trieste, Trapani, and Bari, each with two weekly frequencies. In addition, Scandinavian Airlines System (SAS) and Air Nostrum offer weekly flights to Stockholm, operating from February 26 to September 10.
