MADRID – The Policia Nacional in Madrid have been busy over the last 24 hours and have removed many criminals from our streets.

Just last night, InSpain.News reported on the successful arrest of one of the ten most wanted fugitives in Spain.

Citizen collaboration

Manuel Bellido Moreno was captured just 48 hours after the publication of the list of the most wanted. Furthermore, this was thanks to the information and address details provided by a citizen.

Moreno is considered the largest currency counterfeiter in Spain.

Love Fraud

The head of a criminal organisation was another successful arrest made by the Policia Nacional in Madrid. Allegedly, the man sent massive amounts of “Nigerian letters” via email. In this way, he swindled €118,000. He was arrested at his home in Valdemoro, Madrid.

Once he received the money from the victims, he transferred it to Spanish bank accounts controlled by mules of the organisation. Money was also sent to accounts in the United Kingdom and Nigeria where others involved in the organisation reside.

Caught “red-handed”

Five women dressed up as old women with wigs, glasses and elegant clothes went unnoticed in various areas of Madrid. They would enter homes and steal valuables. However, they were caught “red-handed” and arrested by agents of the Policia Nacional in Madrid.
