Semana Santa weather

On April 2, theholy week’ in Spain started, and is celebrated until Sunday 9 April. The weather always plays an important factor during Semana Santa. The Spanish weather service predicts a DANA on Tuesday, but are the forecasts really that unfavourable?

It will not be the first time that the weather during Semana Santa is filled with rain, as in 2020. This year, however, the Spanish weather service Aemet expects a week with ‘stable weather’ and increasingly higher temperatures later in the week. This despite the expected DANA, an isolated high-level depression, which can cause a shower and considerable wind locally on Tuesday.
