Vueling connects London-Gatwick with the Canary Islands for the first time

CANARY ISLANDS – The airline Vueling will establish three new direct routes that will connect Gatwick airport (London) with Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife, starting in December.  

It will be the first time that the Barcelona-based company offers these services, which it promotes as a tool to expand its network of attractive destinations during the winter season. 

Vueling flight days

The operation with Tenerife will begin on December 6, with three weekly frequencies (Tuesday, Friday and Sunday); that of Gran Canaria begins on December 7, with two weekly frequencies (Wednesday and Saturday); and finally, the connection with Lanzarote, starts on December 8, will have two weekly frequencies (Thursday and Saturday).

The commitment of Vueling to connections between the United Kingdom and the Canary Islands coincides in time with the forecasts of the CEO of TUI Group, Sebastian Ebel, who stated that the fear of a possible economic recession will modify the tourist destinations chosen by the British, opting for trips medium-distance trips to the Canary Islands instead of long-distance trips to areas such as the Caribbean.
