For people who long for sun, this is often the time to book the summer holidays. To help these sun lovers on their way, Tripadvisor is launching the Travellers Choice 2023. No less than two Spanish islands have reached the top 25 of this well-known ranking.
This cold and wet period of the year is used by many people to book their summer holidays. And don’t blame them! After Christmas, many people long for the sun again and choosing a summer destination already improves the mood of many.
Tripadvisor comes with top 25 most beautiful nature destinations
To help all these sun lovers on the right track, many travel platforms are cleverly responding to this by publishing various rankings with beautiful destinations. There are now countless such rankings. But in this case, the well-known platform Tripadvisor bases its information on the opinions of people who have actually been to the destination. As such, it has compiled a ranking of the most beautiful nature destinations in the world, called ‘Travellers Choice 2023’.
As the name implies, these are the destinations chosen by travellers in the past 12 months and loved. And what is so special; two Spanish islands appear in this list. This while the list only contains 25 destinations that can be found all over the world.

Mallorca takes seventh place in this ranking. And that’s not without reason; the island offers countless beaches, bays, mountain villages, picturesque harbours and even caves such as those of Drach in Porto Christo. The Canary Island of Lanzarote is also in this list, in thirteenth place. According to Tripadvisor, this is the “best island to go to when kids don’t feel like going to the same beach for the tenth time during summer vacation.”

The list is topped by Mauritius, a beautiful tropical destination in Africa. Located in the Indian Ocean near Madagascar, this island offers beaches with crystal clear waters, adventure, diving and snorkeling as well as spectacular mountains.
Second place goes to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. This place is surrounded by historical sites, temples, sacred sites and fascinating villages.
The bronze this year goes to Serengeti National Park in Tanzania, the place that served as inspiration for one of the most famous Disney films ‘The Lion King’.
