MALLORCA – Two children aged 8 and 4 have been injured after falling through a skylight. Both were transferred to the Son Espaces hospital in Mallorca.
As reported on Twitter, by SAMU 061, the accident in Palma was due to a fall from a height of 6m by an 8-year-old boy and a 4-year-old girl after breaking a skylight. Three ambulances were sent to the scene (2 advanced and 1 basic) to attend to the children. Fire fighters and local police were also in attendance.

Children injured
The boy was found to be in less serious condition, however, the little girl´s condition was serious. The incident occurred on Friday just before 9.00 pm in the Plaza Nostra Senyora del Roser.
As stated by SAMU 61, due to the large number of metres involved in the fall, the emergency services activated the ‘Polytrauma Code’, bringing it to the attention of the hospital’s paediatric team. Polytrauma or multiple trauma, is a medical term describing the condition of a person who has been subjected to multiple traumatic injuries.
