UPDATE – TOWIE star, Elliott Wright heartbroken at death of restaurant doorman

UPDATE – It has now been reported that following the death of the doorman, Jose Rafael Pisano Pardo at Olivia´s Restaurant in La Cala de Mijas, police have arrested a 32 year old man who is thought to be British.

Former reality TV star, Elliott Wright temporarily closed his restaurant, Olivia´s in La Cala de Mijas out of respect following the death of his doorman who died after attempting to break up a fight there on Saturday night.

According to local reports, the 55-year-old doorman, Jose Rafael Pisano Pardo was seriously injured after he attempted to stop an argument between customers. During the incident, he was somehow knocked unconscious and was taken to hospital in Malaga in a serious condition. Sadly, he died on Sunday failing to recover from his injuries.

There are mixed reports as to how the incident came about, and how many people were involved.

Olivia´s restaurant closed meantime

The well-known ´fine dining restaurant and cocktail bar near Marbella was closed yesterday. It will also remain closed today while police continue investigations.

In a statement on social media, Elliott said “This weekend, we lost a much loved & valued member of our team. Our hearts are broken & we have closed the restaurant today and tomorrow out of respect. We are supporting our staff & the family whilst awaiting news of further investigations.

Recently married, Jose had two children, and was also a well-known body builder and personal trainer in Marbella.

The death of doorman, Pardo came just a few days after Olivia´s new season dinner shows kicked off featuring fellow TOWIE, James “Arg” Argent. Arg was joined on stage with a surprise performance from Denise Van Outen.

Wright´s restaurant was last in the news almost 2 years ago when it was subject to a suspected arson attempt.
