Three Spanish beers are among the 50 best in the world

MADRID – Beer is the most widely consumed alcoholic drink in the world, surpassing other popular drinks such as wine, whiskey or vodka. Brand Finance, therefore, compiled a ranking of the 50 best beers in the world. Three of these beers are Spanish. 

According to Brand Finance, the best beer in the world is Corona, of Mexican origin. The value of this brand increased by 21% to $7,000 million. Heineken (Dutch) meanwhile is in second place with a 23% increase in the brand to 6.9 billion dollars. Budweiser, American, with a valuation of 5,600 million, closes the stage. 

The other beers that occupy the top 10 are Bud Light (US), Modelo Especial (Mexico), Snow (China), Miller Lite (US), Coors Light (US), Kirin (Japan) and Asahi (Japan).

As for the Spanish beers, according to the ranking, the best Spanish beer is Estrella Damm. Originally from Barcelona, ​​this beer has fallen in value. In 2021 it was in 24th place and on the current list is in 30th place. It is clear that the Estrella Damm brand is very strong and belongs to the strongest and most valuable brands in Europe, the largest beer brands and the best brands in Spain. 

The second highest-rated beer for Brand Finance is Mahou. Originally from Madrid, this brand is in 32nd place. The appreciation of the Mahou brand has appeared in 11 brand rankings, including the largest beer brands and the best brands in Spain. 

Cruzcampo, of Sevillan descent, is also on the list, albeit in last place, at number 50. The appreciation of the Cruzcampo brand has appeared in 10 brand rankings, including the largest beer brands and the best brands in Spain. Cruzcampo is the only one of the Spanish brands to grow in value: 3%
