Spain was the winner of the Irish Travel Trade Awards. These took place on January 26 in Dublin. In 2022, Ireland has been the tourism market that has grown the most of all issuers to Spain, according to data from Turespaña.
The awards promoted by the Irish Travel Agents Association (ITAA) recognised Spain as the best summer destination, while the island of Lanzarote rose as the best winter destination. Likewise, the Turespaña office in Dublin was honoured as the best provider of services to the tourism sector in Ireland.
Spain has won three of the five awards
Thus, Spain has won three of the five awards for which it was eligible. The other two nominations, were those of Barcelona as the best global city and PortAventura (Salou, Tarragona) as the best global theme park.

Turespaña emphasises that these prizes, which are awarded based on the evaluation of the clients of tour operators and agents, come at a time when Irish tourism to Spain is experiencing a real boom. Holiday World Show in Dublin
