FOOTBALL – Thousands of Rangers fans made their way to Seville to watch their team play in the final against Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League Final.
It was the first time Rangers has been in a major European final since the 2007/8 UEFA Cup.
Travel chaos
There were reports of cancelled planes and confusion at airports, but it was estimated that around 100,000 Rangers fans made the trip to Seville.
Rangers had under 10,000 tickets available in The Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán Stadium, however those without tickets, could watch the game at the Estadio La Cartuja and a fanzone was set up at Parking de las Moreras, parque del Alamillo.
The Policia Nacional had been urging fans to show respect and set an example to others. They also reminded visitors to be aware of their personal belongings. In an official Tweet, they said;

-Don’t leave your mobile out in the open
-Don’t carry your wallet in the back pocket of your trousers

Spend time in Seville
This was yet another fantastic opportunity for visitors to Sevilla to see the city. Over the last few months, Seville has played host to many magnificent events including the Feria de abril.
The police recommend contacting the tourist office.

If you are spending more time in the city, then please be aware of the extremely high temperatures. According to AEMET, temperatures are expected to be in the high 30s all week, and even reaching over 40 degrees on Friday. Stay hydrated, and use sun protection.
