The USCA and CCOO unions have decided to continue the strike by air traffic controllers at privatised airports in March. The reason is the lack of progress in negotiations with the business association APCTA, which includes the private providers of the liberalized air traffic control market Saerco and Skyway.
The strikes will take place between 4.00 pm and 7.00 pm local time on Tuesdays March 7, 14, 21 and 29. Specifically, all flights with arrivals or departures within the specified time period and with origin or destination at the following privatised airports are considered affected.

Original proposal withdrawn
USCA and COOO criticise the attitude of Saerco, which was not open to an agreement and even withdrew the original proposal, further worsening the conditions of its workers.
Both unions say they certainly tried to reach an agreement to call off the strike, “especially given the current recovery in air traffic. They argue that a system based on the efforts of a tired workforce and continued cuts to already consolidated entitlements cannot work.
For the USCA and CCOO unions, the strike is the only opportunity now to denounce the wage cuts
