Elon Musk on Spain´s solar energy

Elon Musk, founder of SpaceX and CEO of Tesla, believes Spain can grow so big in solar energy and power all of Europe. The Spanish Prime Minister invites him to come over and invest in the ambitious plans that Spain is already working on.

Elon Musk is the richest man in the world with an estimated wealth of €277 billion. His statements often go around the world and have a considerable influence on stock markets, investors, but also politicians.

Spain can provide all of Europe with solar energy

On Tuesday, another statement by Musk became a trending topic when he provided Spain with advice. Elon Musk believes that Spain should invest even more in solar energy. And that, furthermore, the country has what it takes to provide all of Europe with energy. Consequently, this statement by Musk also influenced the stock market. Shortly after his tweet, sustainable energy companies were among the biggest risers on the Spanish stock exchange.

Spanish Prime Minister Invites Elon Musk To Invest In Spain

The fact that the entrepreneur has a large reach and has a lot of influence is apparent from the fact that shortly after his statement, the Spanish Prime Minister invited Elon Musk to come and talk about this. Musk made this statement via a simple message on Twitter. Pedro Sánchez then responded to his message. Sánchez wrote that Spain has been working on an ambitious plan in the field of renewable energy for some time and invited him to experience for himself how far Spain has come and wrote that “investors are very welcome in Spain”.

Tweet Musk at an important moment for Europe

The moment that Elon Musk decided to put this statement on Twitter does not seem entirely coincidental. Right now, European government leaders are sitting together to consider alternative energy options to reduce dependence on Russian gas.

Prime Minister Sánchez is a strong supporter of clean energy and announced last December that he wanted to invest €16 billion in the transition to sustainable energy by 2026. As a sunny region in Spain, Andalucia supplies the cheapest energy in all of Europe.
