There are lots of scammers out there trying to steal out money or our personal information. Clients of N26 online banking along with many others are being targeted.
However, N26 is being pro-active and taking steps to warn its customers what to look out for.
Online bank customer Support
They urge you to contact their Customer Support via your N26 app if you think you have been a victim of a phishing attempt. Or, if you prefer, you can send them an email at support26.com. You can also forward a copy of any suspicious email to them.
Suspicious links
N26 confirm that they will never send you links via text message or ask you to share your login credentials, debit card number, or confirmation PIN by email, text, or phone. Be cautious if you;
- receive a text or an email asking you to click on a link, even though it may look legitimate, DO NOT CLICK ON THE LINK.
- receive a call from someone claiming to work for the bank, advising you of a suspicious transaction on your account DO NOT GIVE YOUR DETAILS to them.
- have clicked on a link which has taken you to an “authentic looking” website, please check the URL. Often the scammers create a fake website, that is very close the original, but may have a slight difference. NEVER give your PIN number.
- are in any doubt, contact the provider directly, or the police on 091.
