MALAGA – Mobile Week Málaga takes place from December 9 – 12 at the Palacio de Ferias y Congresos de Málaga as well as various other venues throughout the city. The project is led by Málaga City Council and organised by FYCMA.
The event will feature a wide program of activities specific to technology. There will be conferences, debates, exhibitions, and workshops as well as other family activities. Furthermore, everything in Mobile Week is aimed at the people who live in Málaga. And, moreover, will help provide a smooth transition to introduce technology to the “everyday lives” of the people of Málaga.
In recent months, organisations such as Google and Vodafone are looking to Málaga as a digital hub.
Free of charge
The events, activities, and workshops are totally free for attendees. Consequently, it is hoped this will help reduce the digital divide. The events are both online and face-to-face.
Four main areas will, therefore, be focused on at the event. These are digital transformation, training, communication, and sustainability.
Digital transformation
Regarding digital transformation, the activities will focus on new smart cities, disruptive technologies, digital territories, and smart, sustainable mobility. Furthermore, the new ways in which we interact with urban ecosystems are increasingly digitized, intelligent, and sustainable.
Training
All activities will be encompassed within STEAM women, talent and work, education, and learning. The transformation of the work and educational environment made a new perspective of the job market and the recruitment of talent. STEAM women is an educational program to promote the female presence in such technological areas. It aims to seek equality between men and women in the scientific fields. STEAM is an acronym for science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics.
Communication
Leisure, communication, and networking will be addressed. The impact of digitization on the way we interact, inform ourselves, and access entertainment.
Social sustainability
Migration, health and life sciences, and new economies. The promotion of technological innovation in the health field, in access to territorial mobility, and in the creation of new economies.
