Man found hanged thought to be father of murdered baby

BARCELONA – A hanged body has been found in a wooded area.  Police were searching this area for the father of a toddler who was killed in a Barcelona hotel.

The body of a man has been found by the Mossos d’Esquadra (Catalonian Police Force) close to El Prat airport in Barcelona.

Fled from hotel

Although it has not yet been confirmed, the hanged body could be that of Martín Ezequiel Álvarez. The man who allegedly killed his baby son and fled from Hotel Concordia in Barcelona on August 24. Moreover, the man had not been located since.

According to Spanish news site, 20Minutos, Mossos sources stated they found the body in a wooded area between Barcelona and Prat de Llobregat. This is close to where the airport is located. But meanwhile waiting to confirm the identity, they believe it is the murdered child’s father.

Lifeless body

On August 25, the body of a two-year-old boy was found lifeless in a hotel room in the Sants-Montjuïc district of Barcelona. He ​allegedly arrived with his father, who was separating from his mother. Furthermore, the father had sent messages advising her that she would “regret it.”
