The second half opened with some promise once again, with Barcelona scoring just 4 minutes in with a goal from Abde Ezzalzouli. It looked like the game could end with Barcelona winning 1-2. However, with just 4 minutes from the 90 remaining, Osasuna equalised. Ezequiel (Chimy) Avila had scored.

Held to a 2-2 draw, Barcelona now sits in 8th position, and an impossible 18 points behind rivals Real Madrid. Barcelona´s next match is at home on Saturday, December 18 against Elche.

Atletico needs a win to help narrow the gap when they play away to Seville on Saturday. Real Madrid would appear to have an easy match on Sunday when they play at home to Cadiz who are currently second from bottom.
