Copa del Rey

The Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) is the organiser of the Copa del Rey. It is the oldest national football cup competition in Spain and one of the oldest in the world. The competition is open to all teams in Spanish football. This includes professional clubs in La Liga and Segunda División, as well as amateur clubs in the lower divisions.

The format of the competition has changed over the years. Currently it consists of a preliminary round, followed by four rounds of two-legged ties, and a final played at a neutral venue. The winner of the Copa del Rey qualifies for the Supercopa de España and the UEFA Europa League.
