For example, an overnight stay in Las Palmas costs an average of €57 per night, while someone in Cádiz has to pay an average of €120 per night for a similar hotel. Although this is more than double, Cádiz distinguishes itself with quite low prices in the hospitality industry (an average of €24 for an evening meal plus drink in a restaurant) and for extra activities in the city. On the other hand, Barcelona has to pull out quite a bit of money (an average of €33 for the same dinner as in Cádiz).

City breaks in Spain a lot more expensive this year

The comparison site conducted a similar study in 2020 and finds that the prices for city breaks in Spain have risen considerably. In 2020, it cost an average of €956 for a week’s holiday in a Spanish city. Undoubtedly, several factors related to the corona pandemic play a role in these price increases.
