Alcampo has specified that the more than 3,300 employees of these Día branch stores will gradually be integrated into Alcampo’s workforce. That process will therefore, start in the coming days and is expected to end in July.

This operation adds a sales area of approximately 170,000 square metres to Alcampo and allows an “excellent complementarity” with existing establishments on Spanish territory. In addition, it accelerates Alcampo’s development in the national market, according to a statement from the company.

Alcampo has indicated that with this strategic acquisition it consolidates its objective to become the ‘phygital’ leader of the Spanish food ‘retail’. This refers to a combined physical and digital approach.
