MALAGA – If you have visited southern Spain, there is a good chance you flew into Malaga airport. But did you get the chance to explore this wonderful city? InSpain.News have put together ways to get a taste of Malaga following tapas with a twist.

Malaga airport is popular to fly into for those heading to Marbella, Fuengirola, Nerja and other resorts. However, Malaga city and its surrounding areas have a lot to offer as a destination.

Enjoy getting lost in Malaga

Malaga is filled with excellent places to eat and drink. It is a fantastic place to get lost in. Often when we go out for an evening, we will go to a bar or a restaurant, or perhaps for some tapas. There is always a fantastic atmosphere as you amble from bar to restaurant in search of your favourites.

However, if you don´t want to miss the best, there are some other ways to discover tapas and the foods of Malaga, while at the same time, experience the city. A guided tour is perfect for this.

There are many different and slightly unusual ways to do this. Here we provide you a taste of Malaga with a difference.

Cuisine and Culture

An ideal way to navigate around the most popular tourist sites while indulging in tapas as you go, is to book a guided tour. The guides are extremely knowledgeable about the local area and historical information.

Cogesa Expats

These types of tours can be varied depending on the area within Malaga. There are a fantastic range of options from private tours, to visiting the local food markets and experiencing the atmosphere and a taste of Malaga alongside the locals.

Alternatively, you may wish to go off the beaten track and be introduced to tapas bars you would never find otherwise. Or even a tapas tour in the historical centre of Malaga combined with an authentic Flamenco show. These are all utterly unique experiences not to be missed.

On your bike

If you enjoy riding, then a tapas bike tour could be for you. An e-bike tour combines bikes, food, and wine. An excellent combo! Even for non-bike riders, this will appeal as these special bikes take all the effort out of riding up those hills. However, most of Malaga is on the flat in any case.

In addition to the fabulous tapas stops, you will also see some of Malaga´s famous sites and learn about the history and the culture. You will also visit a bodega (a wine bar) where you can sample some of the sweet wine specific to Malaga.

There are many more interesting places to visit and enjoy tapas in Malaga. Guide to Malaga is happy to give recommendations.
